Domaine Le Roc des Anges Blanc Vieilles Vignes Llum 2023

'Llum' is light in Catalan, and a more apposite name for this wine there could hardly be. A blend of grenache gris, grenache blanc and macabeu, this wine twinkles somehow. Barrel-fermented and aged, it's full and intense yet fine, crystalline even, giving refined notes of white-fleshed fruits, citrus, vanilla and mouthwatering, savoury minerals. This would be heavenly with simple grilled scallops or lobster with a butter or cream sauce; also roast chicken or mushroom risotto.
