Clos du Gravillas A Fleur de Peau Muscat 2023

Orange muscat can be blousily floral; this one is rich, with concentrated orange rind and dried apricot-led flavours, impeccably balanced with bright acidity. It's fermented with skins for three to four weeks and a portion of it spends a short time ageing in demi-muids, the rest of it going into steel tanks and ceramic eggs. Plenty of dried citrus, Earl Grey tea and orange blossom. Great to have with spiced tagine where it will sing along with the sweet notes of dried apricot, date or sultana. Or, as the winemaker says, "anything with coriander".
