Ignacio Pino Román Torontel Naranja 2020

From a vineyard on a steep slope of decomposed granite soil in the village of Caravanchel, in the Coelemu sub-region of Itata. Dryfarmed bushvines aged over 100 years old on original rootstocks (phylloxera-free). All soil work is carried out by horses. 

Hand-harvested grapes were de-stemmed and transferred to very old (c.200 years old) Chilean amphorae. Natural fermentation was followed by ageing with skins for about 10 months. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered. 

Elegant, textured and wonderfully aromatic with oily lavender and bergamot floral notes, plus lemongrass and sweet citrus. More-ish.

11% vol.

Unfined and unfiltered. Contains sulphites (<15 mg/l total).
