Gaioz Sopromadze Otskhanuri Sapere 2018

The Sopromadzes think of their Otskhanuri Sapere as their special occasion wine. This one will age: I tried one at the winery from 2009 and tasted profoundly good - like a mature Amarone or similar.

Fermented and aged in qvevris, this 2018 is inky and intense with brooding dark fruits, grainy tannins and zesty acidity. It's good for drinking now but I would recommend tucking it away for a while - it will decay beautifully for a decade or more.

12% vol. 

Unfined and unfiltered. 75cl. Contains sulphites (but none added).
